Due to Friday’s massive Rogers outage which interrupted internet and cell phone services and interfered with payment systems, BC Place vendors can only accept credit card or cash payments for purchases, BC Place said in a tweet on Friday.
People can convert their money into a special card to use at the stadium at kiosks located in sections 235 and 251 of the lobby, he said.

Debit cards will not work as the Rogers outage affected debit payment services.
BC Place vendors also do not accept cash payments, having moved to a ‘contactless’ experience last year.
The cash-to-card system allows customers to purchase a gift certificate with a unique code that they can use to purchase food and beverages and concessions in the lobby.
